I just got in from a quick trip to ELCAF (The East London Comics & Arts Festival). It was nice to see illustration work IRL for a change, and was kind of like a game of internet ‘Guess Who’. Wish I had a bit more dosh to buy things, I expected everything to be out of my budget as most design related things round East London are, but everything was very affordable. In the end I had 7 quid to spend and I bought a fold out book by Isabel Greenberg called ‘Just One Bite’ of interesting food. I got the Landfill Editions ‘All About Crystals’ book I’ve been hankering after for a while, on sale for £1 so I snarfled it. I also got a lovely delicate risograph print of crystals (I’ve gone crystal mad!) by stupidly didn’t pick up a card so can’t remember who by. If anyone knows who did it let me know! A steal at only £3. Lastly I bought a marbled bookmark made by an enterprising 9 year old. She sure has an eye for colour! All in all a nice way to start a Sunday, before getting on with my own illustration work. Laters!
